Check out Brittany and Ricky’s oh-so-cute story below!
Brittany and Ricky met in class at Texas A&M University. After crossing paths several times over the next year, Ricky asked Brittany out on their first date. Shortly after, Brittany left to study abroad in Spain for the summer. Ricky, of course, visited her in Spain, and it was then the couple knew they wanted to spend their lives together.
The following March, in celebration of their 30th wedding anniversary, Ricky’s parents invited the couple to Messina Hoff Winery for a wine tasting. Also celebrating an anniversary, Ricky and Brittany shared an intimate dinner followed by a walk around the vineyard. That short walk led to a moment that would change their lives forever. The couple approached the pond and crossed a bridge to an illuminated gazebo just beyond them. Ricky shared his love for his soon to be fiancé and read scripture from a new Bible, engraved with what will become Brittany’s new name. He then presented her with letters from her best friends to celebrate the moment. After asking Brittany to share the rest of her life by his side, she said yes!
The couple will be married this spring in the Perkins Chapel at Southern Methodist University with a reception to follow at the Rosine Hall at Dallas Arboretum. Thanks to Tucker Images for shooting their oh-so-sweet engagement photos!
