Alexandria and Drew learned that sometimes all you need is love in their intimate, organic and ethereal wedding. Like many 2020 couples, Alexandria and Drew had to face the harsh reality of canceling their wedding months before their big day. Originally scheduled for July 2020, the couple pushed their wedding to October and decided to have a small intimate ceremony with close family and friends. At the time, Alexandria worked in the hospital as a nurse. Seeing the pandemic on the frontline gave Alexandria a new perspective on what was truly important to her: marrying her best friend. However, their ethereal and organic wedding turned out to be everything the couple dreamed of and more despite having to cut their number from over 200 to just 40 people. Alexandria and Drew said, “I do,” at the Artspace 111, surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends. On the day of the wedding, the future Mr. and Mrs. Hickman were eager to become husband and wife. At the first look, Alexandria showed off her deep-v lace dress and her newly chopped hair that she cut hours before the wedding. After the first look, it was finally time for the couple to become husband and wife officially. Their open-air ceremony with the most majestic tree as their backdrop focal point gives us the best boho vibes. Pampas grass and accents of Dried Globe thistle made for the most ethereal and elegant floral arrangement. The couple exchanged vows, and then the party began! The newly weds and guests danced, sipped cocktails, and had an open mic for anyone to share a few words about the couple. Alexandria and Drew incorporated the open mic concept for their guests to feel valued and heard by them. We absolutely love this idea! Molly Murphy Photography captured all the intimate love and happiness shared throughout the day. Keep scrolling to see more of this ethereal and organic wedding and a special note from the bride! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Hickman!
“I learned that your wedding is about your marriage. A wedding is a fun celebration, but all the small details truly don’t matter. All you need is good food, drinks, music and the people you love.”
