Lacey and Trevor Knight’s Dreamy, String-Lit Backyard Corona Wedding

In this stunning backyard corona wedding captured by Megan Kay Photography that also just happens to be featured on the cover of our newest issue, Lacey and Trevor Knight are married in the dreamiest outdoor ceremony complete with elegant and nostalgic string lighting! Our cover couple first met through a mutual friend six years ago, but the timing wasn’t quite right. Things have a funny way of working out, though, and they finally made their relationship official during Lacey’s final year of cheering for the Dallas Cowboys while Trevor was finishing up his career playing football in the NFL. In their scaled-down corona ceremony, they weren’t able to invite as many people as they had originally planned, but this change of plans left room for some sentimental details that never would have come about otherwise – like the sweet wooden altar and cross that Trevor and Lacey’s dad made together just for the wedding! Lacey is the most beautiful bride in a long-sleeved gown from Lulu’s Bridal that was practically made for her featuring an illusion neckline as well as a jaw-dropping train. With elegant tablescapes set with lovely gold flatware and rentals from Warehouse Rose Events, complete with opulent floral centerpieces of ivory roses and gorgeous greenery from The Shabby Rose Florist, this wedding scene couldn’t be any prettier if we dreamed it up ourselves. Read on to hear from the bride about transitioning from a guest list of almost 400 to wedding party and immediate family members only, and why her younger self would be so excited if she could see the gorgeous photos of this backyard corona wedding! Cheers to Lacey and Trevor!

From the bride: “We had planned to have the big and glamorous wedding that I had envisioned since I was a little girl. Due to COVID-19, we made the decision to postpone the big celebration and just do a small ceremony in my parents’ backyard. As a young girl, I always told my dad that I would get married in our backyard because I loved it so much and always made the most incredible memories back there. I had no idea that this little-girl dream would actually become a reality.”
