How the Couple Met

Dylan and Kallen first met at a Wade Bowen concert at The Backyard in Waco, Texas, in October 2016. At the time, Kallen was attending Baylor University, and Dylan was visiting his best friend, who was dating her roommate.

Their friendship grew into a relationship a year and a half later, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. For their first dance, the couple chose Wade Bowen’s “Who I Am,” bringing their story full circle with the song that marked the start of their journey together.

The Wedding Day

This elegant wedding at Union House TX was a stunning display of modern sophistication and thoughtful design. The bride looked effortlessly chic in her gown, paired with flawless hair and makeup by Etoilly Artistry, radiating timeless beauty. The groom complemented her perfectly in his sharp suit, and together they made a picture-perfect couple under the golden Texas sun.

The ceremony setup was truly unique, with a circular arrangement of seating that brought guests closer to the couple as they exchanged vows. This standout design feature, made possible by Loot Rentals, created an intimate and inclusive atmosphere for everyone in attendance. The neutral tones and modern lines of the furniture blended seamlessly with the outdoor setting, making for a minimalist yet striking aesthetic.

Inside the reception, BBJ La Tavola’s luxurious linens added texture and elegance to the long banquet tables, setting the stage for an evening of celebration. The floral arrangements, candles, and delicate décor brought a soft, romantic touch to the sleek, contemporary vibe of the venue. Every detail, from the perfectly set tables to the warm glow of candlelight, contributed to an atmosphere of understated luxury. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and the beauty of thoughtful design.

I was born and raised in Minnesota – most of my family and friends still live up north, and for many, it was the first time they were able to see where we live and meet Dylan’s family and friends. We had so much fun commemorating our marriage with the people we love most and are so thankful many made the trip to Texas to celebrate with us!”
