A Playful Pastel Palette Perfect for The Nest at Ruth Farms

Mackenzie and Jack’s wedding had a playful pastel palette, perfect for The Nest at Ruth Farms. We knew this wedding would blossom into something simply amazing, from the blush envelopes to the floral invitations. The ceremony was outdoor, with the picturesque pond flowing as the glowing bride walked down the aisle. Mackenzie wore a lace V-neck mermaid gown, which looked oh-so-stunning next to her pretty-in-pastel bridesmaids. Fresh florals surrounded the altar and paved the way where the bride was given away. Jack awaited his soon-to-be wife in a white blazer with navy slacks and a bowtie. After the couple said “I do,” the guests headed inside for a reception that deserves a prize. This dining experience was a minimalist masterpiece that brought sweet simplicity and style. The ballroom was rustically romantic with round tabletops, bountiful bouquets and courteously placed candles. Clearly, this pair planned the perfect affair, and the flair doesn’t stop there! A marquee “LOVE” sign lit up the reception with a charismatic charcuterie board and some riveting refreshments. You would think this day couldn’t possibly get any more romantic until you hear this couple’s lush love story. Mackenzie and Jack met in college. Kenzie had been at Jack’s apartment with friends and only said hello to him in passing until it was time to leave. The girls were hosting a game night at their place, and Kenzie was the one person to encourage Jack to join. Jack was intrigued by her friendliness and now admits, “First impressions do matter.” For more of the Oduros, gaze through the gallery below.

From the bride on her favorite detail: “My husband is Ghanian, so we had a Ghanian reception the night before the wedding. The day of the wedding we had a ‘family’ dance, where the groom, his siblings and mother danced to a Ghanian song and later joined by the bride. It was so fun! Later all the guest were dancing to Ghanian pop music.”
