We’re still on cloud nine after getting to see all of the beautiful gowns from New York Bridal Fashion Week! With some of the best and recognizable bridal fashion designers in the world converging on New York City, we couldn’t wait to share a glimpse of all of their amazing gowns with our followers via live Instagram coverage thanks to bridal buyer Christina Plumlee at The Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus! When all was said and done, we compared our notes together and noticed 5 hot trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week and the amazing Fall 2016 collections!
Plunging Necklines
This trend has been around for a while, but was stronger than ever for Fall 2016! We love the subtle but unmistakable touch of drama that a plunging neckline brings to a gown. If you’ve got it, flaunt it! (Kenneth Pool, Reem Acra)
Color
We can’t think of a way to make a louder statement than stepping out of the traditional white gown and into a gorgeous color gown! Red, pink and black were the most common pantones we saw strutting the runway this year and we have to say, they definitely stood out! (Vera Wang, Isabelle Armstrong)
Overskirts
Two gorgeous gowns in one! We’re so on board with this trend! Wear the full skirt for the ceremony and detach it for a dramatic wardrobe change to dance the night away at the reception! (Monique Lhuillier, Ines Di Santo)
Prints
For all of our fashion forward brides looking to make a trendy statement, prints are a great way to go! With so many different prints making their way down the runway this year, brides will have their pick! (Anna Maier, Romona Keveza)
3D Floral Embellishments
This trend is brand new for Fall 2016 and we couldn’t be more in love! Texture of all kinds are in this season but the 3D floral embellishments were up and down the runway! Flutter and flow all the way down the aisle with these floral beauties! (Monique Lhuillier, Naeem Khan)
