SWEET BEGINNINGS: Allison and Jason met at the Tall City Blues Fest through mutual friends. Jason wasn’t planning on going until a friend sent him video of all the girls that were with him, including Allison. He showed up a while later and although they didn’t talk much that night, it was the setup for future hangouts and eventually their first date.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: The couple hadn’t been to Las Vegas so they planned a trip for May 2015. Allison is terrified of heights and the High Roller, their first adventure of the trip, is a glass pod that travels 550 feet above the Vegas Strip. At almost the top of the Ferris wheel, Jason asked people in their pod to take a picture. Before the picture, Jason made an announcement and proceeded to say a bunch of sweet stuff that Allison can’t remember because of all the crying. He got down on one knee and proposed as the sun set over the Vegas Strip.
RUSTIC ROMANCE: Allison and Jason wanted to keep things simple with a rustic, romantic and elegant wedding. Soft blues, gold tones and candlelight kept things romantic and intimate, while a greenery-filled setting and barn backdrop gave their night the rustic feel that made it just right. Balancing their northeastern roots with elements from their home in Texas, they also incorporated pops of blue, red and gold to put the finishing touches on their perfect night.
AMAZING ALTAR: The couple’s altar was a wooden cathedral gazebo with a rod iron chandelier. Located in a small field surrounded by trees and adorned with beautiful eucalyptus garland, the altar set the scene for an intimate, romantic ceremony. Guests were seated on benches that were hand-carved pews adorned with clusters of flowers, eucalyptus and ribbon.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The bride’s loose and natural bouquet blossomed with Café au Lait dahlias, a large air plant, champagne tea roses, large ivory roses and red ranunculus. Accented with dark red scabiosa, blue thistle, dusty miller, eucalyptus and jasmine vine, and tied with a long dusty blue ribbon from Silk & Willow, Allison’s blooms were the perfect incorporation of rustic elegance. Bridesmaids’ bouquets followed suit with aspects of the bride’s bouquet and a balance of greenery and florals to round out the bridal look.
