Amy Grest and Ryan Frederick’s Tropical Outdoor DFW Wedding
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Amy and Ryan were in California for a wedding, Ryan suggested after the wedding to stay a few extra days in San Francisco so they could hang out and relax. Ryan requested that she leave Monday open for him to plan, little did Amy know he was planning their engagement! After breakfast and a little bit of sightseeing, Ryan took Amy to the perfect photo spot on the beach, a tide rushing onto the shore on one side and the Golden Gate Bridge on the other. Amy was in awe of the beauty that surrounded her as she turned around to find Ryan down on one knee. After Amy said yes, Ryan stood up to kiss her and whispered, “You should turn and smile — we are being photographed.” Thankfully, Ryan hired their friend to hide in the bushes and capture every precious moment!
GET HER LOOK: Amy’s white wedding gown was stunning. The fitted silhouette accentuated her figure; these features paired beautifully with the fullness of the skirt and length of her generous train. The sleeves were fitted to the elbow, then fluted out into draped fullness. A keyhole neckline with two lace layers and an open low back added the perfect touch of glamour. A simple veil made from long tulle added a slight amount of depth to the gorgeous look.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Discussing them in great length throughout the entire wedding planning process, Amy wanted her flowers to be the awe factor of her special day. She had a specific vision for the colors and flowers used in the design of her arrangements. Tropical blooms of alpinias, angel wing begonia, heliconia, birds of paradise, cockscomb, ginger and several varieties of protea made Amy’s bouquet pop while ranunculus, peonies, and garden roses offset the beachy feel and added a touch of modernism.
