PERFECT PROPOSAL: Danny proposed the weekend of Ashley’s 29th birthday. She thought they were meeting friends for brunch. The truth was, Danny had rented the rooftop of HG Sply Co in Dallas. He proposed with the Dallas skyline in the distance. After the proposal, friends and family came to celebrate. They had brunch and cocktails, surrounded by fresh cut flowers and pictures from their lives together.
HUES SHE USED: Neutrals, greys and navy have always been Ashley’s favorite color scheme. Additionally, she has always loved the look of white flowers with pop of the greenery.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Ashley’s bouquet had loose organic textures of silver dollar, leather leaf and seeded eucalyptus with pops of white O’Hara roses, peonies and ranunculus. It had a grey fabric ribbon tied to it that hung. It also included something borrowed, Ashley’s sister Meredith’s diamond cross necklace wrapped around it. Meredith’s husband gave her the necklace on their wedding day, and she wore it down the aisle.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: The couple enjoyed two private moments the day of the wedding that they’re glad they took time to enjoy. One moment was right before the reception started. Danny and Ashley were in a holding room, waiting to be introduced. They shared quick hugs and kisses, and Danny made sure Ashley was okay, knowing she hadn’t eaten much all day. It was a nice quiet moment to have on a busy day. Their other moment was at the end of the night, when they shared their last dance alone together, dancing to Charles Kelley’s song, “The Only One Who Gets Me.”
DELICIOUS DESSERTS: During their reception, guests enjoyed a four-tiered cake from Sugar Bee Sweets. Each tier had a different flavor — carrot, chocolate, strawberry and almond vanilla with raspberry. The cake was decorated with fresh flowers, provided by their florist. For the groom’s cake, they did six different flavors of cake balls, which were a huge hit.
VENDOR LOVE: Ashley loved working with Taylor at Something Pretty Floral. Taylor truly brought to life exactly what Ashley wanted for her flowers. Thanks to Taylor, the flowers helped set the tone for the wedding. Plus, they were gorgeous!
