This NYE wedding at BRIK Special Events Venue is black, white and gold all over! Kelsey and Derrick’s wedding planned by Alexa Kay Events was a whirlwind of a day, but one that turned out so romantic and full of glam, gold details – plus, with a planner on your side, you can handle anything that comes your way! The day began with the team from Brite Beauty arriving at Kelsey’s house for hair and make-up, which made the perfect setting as the bridal party was able to relax, enjoy breakfast, and of course, pop champagne – all while in the comfort of her home. Meanwhile, the boys started their day with pick up basketball followed by brunch. Kelsey looked absolutely radiant in her Wtoo by Watters gown from WED Bridal Boutique featuring an illusion neckline as well as a stunning sheer back and delicate button closure! White anemone flowers, ivory hydrangeas, and classic roses make up her beautiful bridal bouquet – just the beginning of the gorgeous floral design by Alba Dahlia Floral throughout this NYE wedding. When they finally arrived at the picture perfect BRIK Special Events Venue, Derrick and Kelsey chose to do a first look where they read personal vows to each other. Such a special moment! Kelsey says their wedding ceremony was short, sweet, and personalized, which keeps everyone happy and gets you married faster! Though there was a miscommunication about their exit song, the newlyweds kissed and started to make their way down the aisle, but thankfully, their friends and family quickly filled the silence with cheers and applause for the new Mr. and Mrs. McCoy! The McCoys welcomed in their party people with a custom guest book from Lyons Paperie so they could cherish their wedding memories for years to come. Because their wedding was on New Year’s Eve, Kelsey and Derrick wanted to keep everyone energized for a long night of celebrating, so they opted for hor d’oeuvres rather than a heavier sit down meal. Romantic, raw wood tablescapes lined with greenery feel so perfectly moody accented with black candlestick holders and other rentals from EZ Party Time. Toasts were made and just before guests danced into 2020, everyone was treated to some late-night honey butter chicken biscuits from Whataburger which were, naturally, a hit! At midnight, EZ Party Time set up a grand balloon drop to ring in the new year, and the dancing continued until 1 in the morning! They made their grand exit with streamer poppers, then drove off in style. This NYE wedding day sounds like one we wish we were apart of! Read on for a note from the bride about one of her most helpful wedding vendors. Cheers to Kelsey and Derrick!

From the bride on her most helpful vendor: “Alexa Kay Events was by FAR the most helpful. Like I mentioned before, having someone to guide my decisions and offer unbiased input was invaluable. She made my wedding day (and week) as stress free as possible, and because of her we were able to truly enjoy ourselves!”
