A Bride’s Bouquet Held Special Meaning at Her Adolphus Hotel Wedding

Shelby and Ryan tied the knot with some of the most luxe, grandiose details in their breathtaking hotel wedding! Shelby started her wedding weekend off early by spending the night in the Hollywood Suite at The Adolphus Hotel with her maid of honor, bridesmaid and now sister-in-law. They woke up in the suite the morning of Shelby and Ryan’s wedding, right where they were planning to get ready! Shelby put it best when she said “The best part about having your wedding at a hotel? No one ever leaves!” We love the convenience of a venue that offers lodging accommodations, and The Adolphus Hotel is in no short supply of luxury. Shelby looks absolutely stunning in a strapless Justin Alexander gown from Bridal Boutique, where she picked out her bridal shoes and accessories as well. Her best friends look ready to stand her by her side or walk down the red carpet, clad in black, sequined off-the-shoulder gowns from Bella BridesmaidsKeeping the party lively at all times, Royal Dukes Band also helped this bride and her dad pull off a fun surprise! Shelby and her father took dance lessons 3 times prior to the big day, so it was a secret for every wedding attendee that they would be doing more than your typical slow dance. About a minute into their slow dance, the music stopped, a loud bang effect blared, and MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This” came on. The crowd went wild as Shelby and her dad performed their choreographed routine – a memory that Shelby and her father will cherish forever. Dr Delphinium Designs & Events created so many fabulous floral arrangements for this hotel wedding, but Shelby’s bouquet had perhaps the most thought put into it! Shelby’s grandmother was a huge part of her life growing up and unfortunately passed away while Shelby was in middle school. However, it was crucial for Shelby to include her as a part of the wedding. Her grandmother was born and raised in Holland, where tulips are very prevalent. Shelby’s bouquet had white tulips sprinkled throughout to remember her by, as well as Shelby’s something old, borrowed, and blue – all contained in the form of one of her grandmother’s brooches pinned to her bouquet. At the end of the evening and after so much partying, Shelby, Ryan, and guests all enjoyed a ball-drop ceremony by EZ Party Time so it was like they were in Times Square! A little after midnight, the two finally made their exit. To escort them out, Royal Duke Band‘s trumpet player played and led the newlyweds down the exit stairs where all of their guests waited with LED white balloons to say goodbye! Ryan dipped Shelby and gave her a big kiss as a show off to the crowd! With every sweet and sentimental detail in this luxurious hotel wedding captured by Ben Q. Photography, it’s hard not to fall in love! Read on for a note from the bride about her favorite wedding memory. Cheers to Shelby and Ryan!

From the bride: “The clock striking midnight had so many meanings for us! Our wedding was on NYE, and it was meant to be a huge party that all led up to one big celebration: midnight! We both had a slew of emotions during that countdown. It was truly a countdown towards the beginning of the rest of our lives together!”
