Brailey and Spencer’s canyon engagement session captured by Brianne Johnson Photography is nothing short of grand, and we are absolutely captivated by these sunset shots of their love! These two look like models taking a romantic stroll through the mountainous paths of Palo Duro Canyon, located in the Texas Panhandle and the second largest canyon in the country! Their proposal story started with a trip to New York City in December of 2019. One day they decided to go to the Met and spent the majority of the day browsing the museum. Brailey says she noticed Spencer was acting a little off, but she couldn’t place how and she brushed it off. After they left, Spencer suggested that they walk through Central Park and head to a very specific pavilion. The pair took the most roundabout way in the freezing rain to the pavilion, which Brailey complained about then not realizing it was to kill time. Finally, they arrived at a beautiful pavilion overlooking a small lake with the city behind and Brailey noticed rose petals, lights and blankets. When Spencer tried to guide her over to the setup, she thought someone else was doing something special and said she didn’t want to get in their way! She finally realized it was for her. Spencer then led Brailey up to the pavilion, got down on one knee and proposed. The soon-to-be bride says it was one of the best days of her life! In their romantic canyon engagement shoot, Brailey stuns in a light blue chiffon gown that billows in the wind which is perfect for their cliffside settings. We can’t wait to see how gorgeous the wedding turns out! Read on for a note from the photographer about this magical canyon engagement. Cheers!

From the photographer: “Brailey and Spencer had a magical summer engagement session at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. We had beautiful sunlight pouring in over the canyon for the first half of our session. Then we hiked up the canyon to catch the sun before it disappeared behind the canyon! Brailey and Spencer not only had a destination engagement session, but their wedding story began with a destination proposal as well! While on a trip to visit New York, Spencer surprised Brailey with a ring in a gazebo at Central Park! Up for another adventure, Brailey and Spencer met me at Palo Duro Canyon to catch some stunning views for their engagement session. The canyon floor was full of beautiful desert landscape, but our favorite views were hiking up to the top of the canyon. We timed it perfectly to catch the sun right on the rim of the canyon as it continued to sink below and filter over the top of the canyon.”
