SWEET BEGINNINGS: Michael’s older sister was the chaplain of the Christian sorority Chandler was in at Texas A&M. She told Chandler a story about him one night, sharing how handsome he was. After that, Chandler sent him a friend request on Facebook. It was worth it. They began getting to know each other over the phone, and he secretly sent her flowers on Valentine’s Day. On their first date it was love at first sight. What was supposed to be a casual coffee date, ended up being 12 hours of what they still call the most fun date they ever had. They went their separate ways knowing there would be many dates to come.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: While dating, Michael and Chandler went walking on some trails behind Trophy Club, Texas. They found a bench along the way, where they sat and talked about their future for hours, prayed together over their relationship and future marriage for the first time. After tricking her to think they were going to a gala, Michael took Chandler to their bench. Chandler instantly knew where they were going. When they arrived, candles and roses lined the walkway with lights hanging from the trees. Michael read her a letter and showed her a journal he had kept all throughout dating. He prayed with her, and knelt down on one knee.
RUSTIC FARMHOUSE: The venue inspired Michael and Chandler’s simple, timeless color scheme. The style of the wedding was rustic with a farmhouse feel. Light grey, bright navy and a mix of pink tones and greenery set the stage for the big day. Since the venue is all white, Chandler wanted her colors to pop against it. Accents of stained dark wood, metals and glass completed the rustic, timeless evening.
AMAZING ALTAR: The altar was two massive trees with white lanterns hanging from them. Chandler and Michael wanted to show off the simple greenery of the trees while incorporating the white of the barn to finish their rustic, farmhouse style wedding.
GET HER LOOK: Chandler’s Justin Alexander gown from Bridal Boutique was made of raw silk, with a sweetheart neckline, a long train and buttons going from top to bottom. Kate Spade earrings finished her look. She carried an overflowing bouquet of blooming, bright peonies with other pink flowers.
