This classic black and white winter wedding is full of personalized details and dazzling decor. Pharra met Roderick when she was 16, working at Hollister in Hulen Mall. Roderick came into the store, and Pharra instantly thought he was so cute! Roderick asked for Pharra’s number, and the two immediately hit things off. However, Roderick joined the Air Force and got stationed in Alaska, and Pharra didn’t see him for years. Nonetheless, fate has a funny way of working out because ten years later, the two reconnected in the same place they met, Hulen Mall. Roderick had come home for his mother’s birthday and headed to the mall to grab a gift. That same day, Pharra headed to the mall to buy a couple of things, and the two ran into each other. Roderick asked Pharra out on a date that night, and the rest is history!
The couple said, “I do,” on a beautiful December day. We love all the unique details that Pharra and Roderick added to their wedding, making it personalized to them. The two love Disney and wanted to incorporate Disney elements into their special day. For example, they added a welcome sign that said “Be Our Guests,” and Pharra wore a little Mickey Mouse pearl on her bouquet. The couple also wanted to celebrate their love of winter and all things Christmas with their wedding. To do this, they included a hot cocoa bar, winter blankets for guests, and the bridesmaids wore fur shawls. However, our favorite detail of this wedding is how the bride honored her late mother. Pharra attached a charm with her mother’s photo to her bouquet so she could be there as she walked down the aisle. The bride also wore the same shoes Carrie Bradshaw wore at her wedding because her mom loved the movie Sex and the City. This couple honored who they were as a couple and put their personalities into every detail, and we could not love it more! From the bride on her favorite wedding day memory: “My favorite wedding day memory was the first look. Rod is very sweet and always tells me I’m beautiful, but the way he looked at me in my dress for the first time was different. He made me feel more beautiful and more loved in that moment than I’d ever felt before. It was such a great moment – I’d almost forgotten we weren’t the only two people in the world.”
