Courtney Mocio and Miles McDougal’s Classic Wedding at The Fort Worth Club
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Courtney’s roommate was in law school at Southern Methodist University with Miles. Courtney would go out with her roommate and ended up meeting Miles one night. They quickly hit it off!
A PERFECT PROPOSAL: The couple had always wanted to travel to San Francisco and Napa Valley – cities neither of them had been. Miles told Courtney that he had a work conference opportunity coming up and it would be the perfect chance for them to spend a long weekend there. They were in the middle of a private vineyard tour in Napa when he told her there wasn’t a conference at all – Miles got down on one knee and the rest is history!
VENUE LOVE: The Fort Worth Club had the perfect atmosphere for the big day. The Club has history with its beautiful ceilings and dramatic chandeliers that played perfectly into their classic wedding theme. They were also able to check many items off their list: food, cake, drinks, tables, linens and chairs. Courtney loved not having to stress about managing lots of outside vendors. The most important thing for them was that everyone in attendance had fun. It was the perfect backdrop for a fun evening of dinner and dancing with all of Courtney and Miles’ friends and family!
BRIDAL BEAUTY: Courtney wanted something fitted through the body with a flare just below her knee. Her Matthew Christopher strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline was the perfect fit and featured intricate lace detail throughout. Her veil was cathedral-length and very minimal to emphasize the details on her dress. Courtney’s bouquet was made entirely of baby pink peonies with a little dusty miller underneath to complement their white, gold and light pink color palette.
FOR THE FOODIES: They wanted to make sure all of their guests would enjoy the food so Courtney and Miles had everything from seafood to chicken fried steak! Not a single person left hungry that night, and the late-night donuts and breakfast tacos were a hit. Six months later, the couple still gets complimented on how great the food was at the wedding.
