Meet The Chef – Yossi Ohayon
“I am a second generation chef. I am originally from Israel, where I trained at some of the top resorts and continued my training in France. I represented Israel and competed with the International Chef’s Association worldwide. In 1996, I moved to Dallas, and although I knew limited English, I was hired by the Westin Galleria. I taught myself English by visually learning all of the spellings and pronunciations of foods. I went on to work at the Dallas Country Club and the Fairmont Hotel for several years. In 1998 I decided it was time to go out on my own full time. That’s when Culinary Art Catering was born, and since then we have just kept growing.”
The Dish
Seared red snapper over purple smashed potatoes topped with mango chutney and blood orange balsamic reduction
Tasty Tips
“We suggest attending one or two of our open houses to try different items before signing your contract to be comfortable that we will do something great for you. Foods are seasonal too so you want to have the best representation of what your menu is going to taste like.
We love classic dishes with modern twists. Whether it’s in the display, how we serve it or how we combine flavors to create something extra special with more of a contemporary edge.”
