Morgan Stroud and Shane Moon’s Elegant Brunch Wedding at Hidden Pines Chapel

Elegant brunch weddings are so much fun, and a light and airy North Texas wedding venue like Hidden Pines Chapel is perfect for morning nuptials like Morgan and Shane’s!

SWEET BEGINNINGS: Morgan and Shane first met through their church. They would see each other in passing, but they were finally able to connect at their mutual friend’s birthday party in 2011. From there, the two enjoyed hanging out together by grabbing dinner, making trips to the mall or staying up late to just talk about life. They continued keeping it pretty casual until one day their connection became so strong that they kissed.

HUES SHE USED: Sharing a very similar taste in style, it was easy for these two to agree on a color scheme that matched the elegant look they desired. They decided on using a shade of grey that had blue tones, and then paired it with pops of blush pink to give the decor a more feminine feel.

DELICIOUS DISHES: In addition to sharing a deep love for each other, Morgan and Shane also shared a love for breakfast foods. They planned their perfect morning wedding with brunch in mind. Milestone Catering served up a delicious array of breakfast favorites with all the fixings. Biscuits and gravy (the bride’s favorite), bacon, omelets and potatoes were some of the items on this savory menu.

SPECIAL TOUCHES: Behind where the bride and groom sat for the reception stood a gorgeous flower wall. Covered in box wood with beautiful blooms draped across the top the wall, it also had the couple’s favorite phrase, “Forever and A Day,” written across the top. Because they are not big dancers, Morgan and Shane had the dance floor covered in big squares of turf so that law games could be set up. Everyone loved the relaxed and fun feel this element offered.

VENDOR LOVE: Photographer Steph Effermeyer from Gray Door Photography was such a helpful vendor. She helped the bride and groom think through a lot of their weddings details, all while ensuring they stayed relaxed and confident.
