A Fête of Roses

This fabulous fête of roses serves as a breathtaking, refined take on tradition designed and styled by Weddings by Stardust in a stunning celebration of modern love. There is a fresh, regal air about the entire styled shoot captured in bright scenes by White Orchid Photography around the beautiful halls of The Kimpton Pittman Hotel, where elevated floral installations by Blue Posy Designs on gold stands make for an artfully asymmetrical altar backdrop. Ceremony seating in mod acrylic chiavari chairs from Lawson Event Rentals keeps things trendy and tasteful, updating the traditional wedding theme.

A glowing bride and her bestie wow us in elegant, chic attire – rose red bridesmaids’ dresses to accent a strapless satin mermaid silhouette gown from StarDust Celebrations, while the earrings, veil, and hairpiece to match lie out for a luxe detail shot next to stately paper goods from Brown Fox Creative. Contemporary escort cards sit prim and proper along the rim of cocktail hour spirits so there’s no need to go searching for the seating chart! The talented artists at Grand Slam Glam made sure these two both looked flawless, styled with romantic waves and full glam makeup for the cherry on top. To capture the mood, creatives at Bluebird Videography even shot a highlight film to enjoy in dreamy detail. Fall in love with this fête of roses below and read on for notes from some of the vendors that brought this editorial to life. Cheers!

From the planner, Jacy with Weddings by StarDust: “My inspiration simply came from the color red. Red has so many wonderful attributes associated with it. It can be bold, yet intimate… passionate, yet playful. It is the perfect color to represent love! I wanted to highlight that bold and playful spirit in a contemporary and intimate manner by pairing it with black, white and acrylic details.”

From the stationery designer, Kristin with Hazelwood Paper Co.: “We designed a clean, minimal invitation suite for a modern couple with rich black and bold white with a formal, modern script. The suite was presented in a black invitation box with red silk ribbon as a glimpse into the red florals used for the ceremony. For a modern take on vow books, we utilized bold black sleeves and echoed the design of the details insert. The welcome sign mimicked the invitation suite with black paper and the couples’ names bold in white script. The escort display was a champagne shelf with simple, escort cards on each glass and coordinating escort signage.”

From the hair and makeup gals, Jordan and Reilly with Grand Slam Glam: “To create this stunning bridal updo we took inspiration from the gown. Just like the dress, we kept the front of this updo simple and soft by framing the face with a few loose curls. We saved the drama for the back by crafting a twisted and textured top that seamlessly flowed into a loose, yet classic bun.

A little bit of drama goes a long way in this makeup look. The eyes on this bride are bold but understated by focusing on smoking out the lid and outer corners of the eyes, but not over-lining them. We kept her face light and radiant and paired that with a darker neutral lip.”
