SWEET BEGINNINGS: Despite attending different colleges, Caroline and Michael ended up with the same group of friends when they graduated and moved to Dallas. One night after work, they all met for happy hour and that’s where Caroline met who would soon become her best friend. She and Michael instantly hit it off, but because no one else in their group was dating, she was hesitant to pursue a relationship with him. Thankfully he was persistent, and after being asked out three times, Caroline finally said yes.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: After months of talking about taking a weekend trip somewhere, Michael suggested they take a vacation to his family’s ski house in Park City, Utah. Considering he is the opposite of a planner, Caroline had no idea what he had up his sleeve. The first thing they did that weekend was take a scenic hike. About halfway up the mountain, they stopped to admire the view when Michael started to get fidgety. He grabbed Caroline’s hand and was down on one knee before she even realized what was actually happening. To this day, her favorite words that came out of his mouth that morning were, “Will you marry me?”
TRADITIONAL ELEGANCE: The couple hosted a beautiful traditional wedding in hues of white, ivory and blush. The bridal bouquet was a gorgeous arrangement of white and ivory hydrangeas and roses by The Garden Gate. The florist created unforgettable, show-stopping arrangements, according to Caroline and her guests.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Caroline carried a cascading bouquet of white and ivory hydrangeas and roses created by The Garden Gate. Attached to her wedding bouquet was her grandmother’s brooch, which had been a tradition with her two sisters that had also incorporated on their wedding bouquets.
VENDOR LOVE: Meetings with Junior Villanueva of The Garden Gate were something that Caroline always looked forward to. Her oldest sister even used him for her wedding. Caroline met with Junior and knew within the first five minutes that he was the florist for her. Being such a close family, the florist meetings became a family affair. Junior welcomed all three of Caroline’s sisters and mom to attend the meeting, and even her dad attended a couple of the meetings, as well. Junior was so personable and kept the crowd laughing the whole time. He blew the wedding out of the ballpark. He immediately picked up on Caroline’s vision very quickly. He and his wife made it the best experience for the bride’s family.
