Hannah and Colin’s formal black tie wedding featured nods to their alma mater TCU. The adorable couple met during their freshman year. The two lived in the same dorm and had a psychology class together where Hannah always came to class with a sparkly headband. Hannah’s sparkly headband caught the eye of Colin, which eventually led to a first date. After five years of dating, Colin popped the question in their new home city of Fort Worth in front of the fountains in Sundance Square. Colin insisted the two take a picture before a date night dinner in front of the fountains. A hungry Hannah asked if they could skip the fountain picture and head to dinner. Colin got a funny look on his face, and that’s when Hannah knew the love of her life was about to propose. Colin teared up, got down on one knee, and asked Hannah to marry him. Of course, Hannah said, “yes,” and everyone in Sundance Square erupted with applause. Hannah and Colin got engaged on May 31, 2019, and finally said “I do” on May 29, 2021.
Initially, Hannah and Colin planned to wed in September of 2020. However, due to Covid, the couple postponed their wedding to May of 2021. After being together for six years, Hannah and Colin were eager to say, “I do.” Thus, they finally became husband and wife on a beautiful May evening at Ashton Gardens in Corinth. The TCU alums wanted to add details to showcase the University that brought them together. They called In help from Weddings by StarDust to plan their dream wedding with nods to TCU. The morning of their big day, Hannah got ready with her bridesmaids. After hair and makeup, Hannah slipped into her beautiful sweetheart gown from Lulu’s Bridal. She and Colin did a “first touch” before meeting at the altar. The sweet couple featured a beautiful floral wrapped cross where they exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour featuring cocktails with a nod to TCU. The bartender sent each drink through an ice liquor luge that featured a purple-horned frog decked out in frozen glitter. So fun! The bride called her French 75 drink a “Riff Ram Ba Juice” while the groom called his Whiskey Sour “The Horny Toad.” Go Frogs!
Hannah and Colin’s reception featured dazzling floral arrangements with hues of Horn Frog purple. Guests enjoyed a dinner catered by Ashton Gardens and danced to a 10-piece band and DJ. Talk about a party! The grand ballroom at Ashton Gardens also featured a beautiful ice sculpture with their brand new monogram etched in ice. In addition, a live artist painted the scene of their first dance as guests watched the canvas come to life. Finally, after Hannah and Colin enjoyed a final private dance, they made their grand sparkler exit. With the sound of the horn section serenading them out, the couple climbed inside their getaway car as they waved farewell to their family and friends.
