PERFECT PROPOSAL: It was Christmas time in New York City, and the couple was staying in a gorgeous corner room at the Westin Hotel in Times Square. After a day full of sightseeing, they headed out for a romantic evening on the town. They enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage ride around Central Park and a delicious dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant. Miles wanted to take Heidi back to the first place they visited that day, Rockefeller Center. The two fought through the bustle of the street to return to the center and get in line to take a photo in front of the famous Rockefeller Christmas tree. When it finally became their turn to take a picture, Miles turned to Heidi, took her hands and got down on one knee. With her emotions already being at an all-time high, she turned around to see her parents, who had been flown in. Her knees almost hit the ground.

THE SETTING: Miles and Meredith selected a beautiful white barn venue to hold their ceremony. The venue sits on a piece of gorgeous land out in the country, complete with lighted trees, a glistening pond and a flowing fountain. The beauty and convenience of the venue definitely helped make their big day so special, not to mention the wonderful staff that worked there!

AMAZING ALTAR: The simple square altar covered in fresh flowers looked like something out of storybook as the sun glistened off the pond behind it. The couple felt at one with nature and each other as they dipped their feet in a metal bin and showed their devotion to one another by washing the other’s feet.

SAVORY SWEETS: For the sake of having a wedding cake in photos and a tasty treat to enjoy on their first anniversary, Heidi chose a tasty champagne-flavored cake dusted with light icing and a touch of florals to sit in the center of the table. Surrounding this elegant cake, six different flavors of scrumptious bundtinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes were scattered across the table for guests to enjoy.
