Tommy and An met in their high school pre-calculus class. The high school sweet hearts dated all through college at Texas Tech University and planned their wedding while An was finishing medical school in Galveston.

While in her first year of medical school, An had a suspicion that Tommy was proposing soon. He was trying to sneak around and measure her ring size without her noticing but she started to catch on. Tommy went to visit An over Valentine’s Day weekend and surprised her with cheesecake and balloons in her room. He was planning on proposing that night but An came home early so he had to wait a little longer. That next night, the couple went to Waterwall Park in Houston and Tommy got down on one knee. An excitedly said yes!
