SWEET BEGINNINGS: Lindsey and Will’s love story began in April 2012. They had both just graduated from the University of Texas when each of their roommates, who were dating, decided to play matchmaker and set the two of them up on a double date. From the first date, it was evident that there was something special between Lindsey and Will.
THE SETTINGS: Lindsey and Will sought out to find their perfect indoor/outdoor venue. They soon found the rustic countryside of Milagro Farms. The space offered a beautifully landscaped outdoor ceremony site and a gorgeous barn to celebrate inside.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Lindsey and Will could not wait to finally become man and wife. Although they were both exceedingly eager, they went the entire day, up until the ceremony, without seeing each other. Will was so happy they chose not to do a first look because it meant all day he got to imagine what his future wife would look like in her wedding dress. He dreamt up about a million combinations leading up to the big day, but none of them came close to the beauty Lindsey radiated when she walked down that aisle. “It was pure magic,” Will says.
AMAZING ALTAR: The ceremony took place under a beautiful wooden pergola with three wooden crosses along the lush treeline. The bride and groom exchanged vows while standing on a large stained wood platform that the bride’s father and brother custom made for the ceremony.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Lindsey carried a brilliant bouquet of peach garden roses, deep red roses, white astilbe, seeded eucalyptus and pieces of greenery spread throughout.
GET THEIR LOOK: Lindsey’s bridesmaids wore matching floor-length purple and grey Dessy gowns from Social Bridesmaids. The high slits and ruching made these gowns glamorous and elegant. Each bridesmaid’s addition of her own metallic shoes and jewlery set this look off and made it unique to them.
PRETTY PAPER: Keeping their southern roots in mind, Lindsey and Will wanted to pay a tribute to the great state of Texas by incorporating it into their invites. The Lone Star State was featured in the save the date, with the couple’s photos framed in the outline of the state. Their wedding invitation was designed with a swirling gold monogram paired with a laurel border and a tiny gold Texas. Beautiful blue-grey calligraphy popped against the simple white background.
