From the bride: “We didn’t know it at the time, but our journey together started back in 2011, when we met at orientation at Ernst & Young, in Dallas. The ‘icebreaker’ activity called for the class to get out of our seats and find the person with the closest birthday.­­ That’s the day we found out that our birthdays are one day apart! We were instructed to introduce one another to the class for the icebreaker activity. Little did we know, that the Good Lord was at work; he was planting the seed of our relationship that would later grow into the love of a lifetime that we now have. We completed the icebreaker, introduced each other, said “Nice to meet you,” smiled, and carried on down our own separate career paths at Ernst & Young.”

From the groom: “The ‘Spark’ didn’t come until two years later. We occasionally ran into each other at work events or happy hours but never really got a chance to know each other until our promotion to ‘Senior’ at Ernst & Young. We sat next to each other during our Senior training happy hour, and that’s where it all started for me. If you ask Brittany, the feelings came a few weeks later at a friend’s lake house where we had a lot of time to sit back and get to know each other. There was something special about our conversations. Fast forward two and a half years, and I had the ring in hand and was ready to propose.”
