PERFECT PROPOSAL: After 11 years of dating, Nicholas decided to ask his “Golden” girl, Meredith, to be his wife. The two had planned a day trip to Austin so they could visit friends. However, Nicholas had other plans in mind. He surprised Meredith by taking her to Mount Bonnell to hike and then surprised her even more when he dropped down on knee. This intimate moment so greatly reflects the couple’s personalities and will be a memory that will last them a lifetime.

THE SETTING: The Perkins Chapel at SMU created a formal yet romantic setting for the couple to share their vows. The room’s champagne uplighting paired with the glow of a hundred candles created a dreamy ambiance that was felt by all. Their reception was held at the Warwick Melrose Hotel. The fanciful feeling from the chapel was carried over to the reception hall by adding soft flowers and warm candles. The long head table was decorated with candles of varying heights while guest tables were topped with a mixture of tall centerpieces and flower arrangements.

GET HER LOOK: Meredith looked straight out of a fairytale in her stunning ivory ballgown. The sweetheart neckline and full tulle skirt gave her a princess look while the fully beaded bodice and rhinestone straps added a touch of glam. Her cathedral-length ivory veil trimmed in crystal beading was breathtaking as she walked down the aisle.

BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Meredith carried a rounded-style bouquet made with the most beautiful florals. Blush and ivory garden roses, vendella roses, peonies, ranunculus, astilbe and a hint of dusty miller and eucalyptus wrapped together in ivory perfectly complemented the bride.

SAVORY SWEETS: Meredith’s wedding cake was a simple four-tiered cake, coated in textured buttercream frosting, decorated with fresh flowers and topped with a custom cake-topper. Because Nicholas is a huge soccer fan, the groom’s cake featured the Bayern Munich logo and was covered in quilted fondant designed to resemble the Allianz Arena in Germany. The Cake Guys did a great job in creating these mouth-watering decadent desserts!
