A Modern Venue with a Boho Twist

When you want to combine a modern venue and boho aesthetic, the Nasher Sculpture Center is the place to do it. Emily and Andrew’s dream wedding mixed two different styles into an intimate celebration that reflected the couple flawlessly. After years of working in the wedding industry, Emily knew that planning her own would be different than anything she had planned before. She said, “It was both an eye opening and rewarding experience. My knowledge in weddings and events helped tremendously, but it is a whole new world planning a wedding for your own loved ones.”

Nasher Sculpture Center’s garden is where the couple said “I do” under the venue’s iconic metal sculpture. Light wood Chiavari chairs and white florals with greenery lined the aisle. The reception was nothing less than a dream with dusty rose and pink tablescapes mixed with gold furniture accents, giving the garden an elevated boho look. Andrew and Emily’s vision was to create an atmosphere that spoke to our personal style but welcomed guests to dance the night away! It was an evening filled with vivacious energy that could be felt throughout the entire garden. To end the night, horn players escorted the couple out of the venue where guests popped white flutter-fetti as a send-off. From the bride on her favorite memory: “One of the most special memories of the evening is when Andrew and I got on stage with the band, and he sang ‘Piano Man’ by Billy Joel. At first we were on stage, then all of our friends and family locked arm-in-arm in a circle on the dance floor and every guest was singing the song in unison. We hopped off stage, stood in the middle of the dance floor, and Andrew’s family joined us. We embraced one another and danced. I was overwhelmed with joy and love in this moment and truly felt blessed to not only marry my best friend, but to have such wonderful friends and family.”
