North Texas Ballroom Wedding Captured by Cristina Wisner | Lauren + Ryan
April 19
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Lauren was at a friend’s birthday party when Ryan walked in with one of her friends from high school and her boyfriend. Lauren was actually dating someone at the time, but she really hit it off with Ryan. They talked and laughed all night, and it just felt so comfortable! Ryan was so much fun, Lauren couldn’t get enough of him. She must have known it was going to last forever, because she never ended up talking to the guy she was dating again.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: It was Valentine’s Day, Ryan and Lauren had just bought a new home, and their four-year anniversary was on February 13. Lauren had just started a new job and thought it was going to be a normal Valentine’s Day/anniversary celebration. When she came home, Ryan was cooking a beautiful dinner. After eating, it was time to exchange gifts. Lauren can’t even remember what she bought Ryan, all that comes to mind is what he got her. Ryan brought out her first gift, which she thought was her only gift, a pair of Frye boots. Ryan told her he got her a navy blue Longchamp bag and was going to take it back because he thought they should save money, but that he had decided he was going to give it to her. Lauren was thinking that was the best Valentine’s Day ever! Little did she know what was in store next. As Lauren opened the bag, the most beautiful ring she had ever seen popped out and she was in shock. Ryan knelt down on one knee and proposed, and of course, Lauren said yes!
HUES TO USE: Lauren loves warm colors, but didn’t want anything too bright, so she chose peach, gold ivory and pink for her wedding color palette. The wedding was modern with a vintage feel, so these colors fit perfectly.
GET HER LOOK: Lauren found her ivory lace gown at Lulu’s Bridal Boutique. She chose a long, mermaid style Pronovias gown, with a sweet-heart neckline and a low-V back. The bottom of the gown featured a train that eventually went into a French bustle. There were discretely placed sparkle elements that gave the feel of glamour, without being over-the-top. Lauren’s veil was chapel length, with a few elegantly placed rhinestones. What makes the veil so special is that it was her sister-in-law’s. To accessorize her look, Lauren wore diamond dangle earrings, completing the vintage feel. Her gorgeous ring was custom made by Ryan, which makes it absolutely perfect for her.
