THE PROPOSAL: AJ decided to propose at one of their old spots: a gazebo at Southlake Town Square where they first hung out back in 2007. It was July 23, 2016. The couple had plans to meet with their parents for dinner, but Ashley’s parents told her they couldn’t meet them until later in the evening. To kill time, AJ asked Ashley if she wanted to go to Town Square and give him ideas for what she wanted for her birthday, which was two weeks later. He parked far away and told he wanted to catch Pokemon on his phone. He said there was a good one on the gazero. Ashley followed but then asked AJ why he didn’t have his phone out. Ashley soon noticed chalk on the ground with a pink heart, and a photographer nearby. Alan got down on one knee, much to Ashley’s surprise. After she said yes, their families came out from hiding nearby to celebrate the day!

HUES SHE USED: Ashley picked soft, spring colors with light lavender that brought the pop of color she wanted.

AMAZING ALTAR: The altar was an arch with flowers draped over the top, descending toward the middle, along with two large floral arrangements on both sides on pillars.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: The couple opted not to do a first look, so when Ashley walked down the aisle with her dad, she saw AJ’s face and felt a rush of emotions. It was incredible to be surrounded by all of their loved ones, coming together to celebrate their love.

VENDOR LOVE: Whitney Bailey with Chic Fleur Wedding and Events made everything transition smoothly and made AJ and Ashley feel comfortable and calm. Without her, they would have felt lost on what to do and where to go. She was a life saver.
