After Michael planned a surprise proposal for Josey at Disneyland in front of Cinderella’s castle during the evening fireworks show, the couple’s wedding had to be just as magical. This Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired wedding was just that. A purple garden wedding incorporating the bride’s Vietnamese traditions – does it get any more beautiful?

Their wedding day started with mimosas for the bridal party while getting their hair and makeup done. One of the bride’s favorite moments was reading letters with her soon-to-be groom before their first look. With an small wedding of about 120 of their closest family and friends, the bride and her daughter got to share such a special moment walking down the aisle together. Their florist, Alba Dhalia Floral, created the most dreamy bouquets with a mix of white and purple-toned flowers for the bride and her daughter. After their vows, the newlyweds were ready to pop those Moët and Hennessy bottles and start dancing! They entered the reception area with a bang with a traditional Lion Dance performance. Additionally, to honor the bride’s Vietnamese heritage, the bride and groom wore traditional Vietnamese wedding attire. They also served the most delicious traditional Vietnamese food after their first dance. Their photographer, Chua Lee Photography, captured every moment of their beautiful day for the couple to look back on for the rest of their lives. Check out the pictures from their purple garden wedding below! Cheers Josey and Michael!

From the bride on her favorite memory: “Just seeing my vision come to life – I teared up just seeing our entire memory. All of our hard work planning and preparing came to life. It was exactly what I had always envisioned as a little girl. Being able to incorporate such a big part of who I am into our wedding meant so much to me. I am very proud to be Vietnamese, and being able to honor my culture and sharing it with our friends and family was an absolute dream! We are a blended family, and I wanted to ensure we were honoring both of us.”
