There’s nothing more beautiful to bride Kayla, an avid gardener, and groom Josh than the beauty and splendor of a green and lush garden, so a romantic Earth Day inspired wedding was a perfect choice! The wedding planning team at Embrace the Day Events made sure their day went off without a hitch. Cheers to the happy couple!

Kayla and Josh met briefly through mutual friends at Texas A&M University in 2010, but it wasn’t until 2012 that they really spent time together. Over time, they grew to be great friends. Despite the fact that she got his car towed from her apartment complex the first time he came over, Josh was still interested. In December 2012, Josh finally asked Kayla to be his girlfriend. From that time, they have enjoyed great memories with friends, home-cooked meals, travels, new jobs, new homes, and their beloved basset hound.
The couple traveled to Houston to visit friends under the pretense of celebrating a birthday. After going out to dinner, the group returned to a friend’s house when everyone was invited to the back yard to smash a piñata. Kayla walked outside to the most beautifully lit back yard; the space was filled with twinkle lights, rose petals and candles. That’s when she noticed Josh dressed to the nines waiting for her under the canopy with their dog also in his own tuxedo. Josh asked Kayla to marry him to which she replied with an enthusiastic yes!
