Meredith and Cory’s rustic chic wedding includes breathtaking views and a modern farmhouse venue. The sweet couple met at their first job right after college. Meredith, a recent grad from Auburn, and Cory, a recent grad from the University of Kentucky, moved to Fort Worth to work as engineers. A mutual friend who worked with both introduced the two one day at work. They soon realized that they lived in the same apartment building and began hanging out on the weekends to watch football. The “work friends” quickly fell for one another after Cory asked Meredith on a date. Their friendship turned into soulmates, and Cory began planning a secret proposal. The proposal started with a nice dinner for two. Meredith didn’t think much of this nice dinner since Cory had been out of town and said he wanted to treat her. However, Meredith became confused when Cory started getting frustrated that it began to rain. He told Meredith as they were leaving dinner that they had to go by the park because his friend got caught in the rain. Meredith felt very confused at this point, but as they got out of the car, he led her to a trail, and she knew. Cory got down on one knee and asked Meredith to spend the rest of her life with him. A secret photographer captured all the moments, and of course, Meredith said, “YES.” After the surprise of a lifetime, Meredith and Cory began planning their rustic chic wedding. First, the couple decided what element of their wedding would be the most important. They wanted a venue that fit their look without having to add extra decor. Therefore, Meredith and Cory spent more on their venue and less on other areas to accommodate. Such great advice! Meredith and Cory said, “I do” in a grassy meadow with a mountain backdrop in a town outside of Atlanta. Sarah Blaze Photography captured the views and the sweet love the couple shared. After the ceremony, the couple and guests made their way into the modern farmhouse for a rustic chic reception. Meredith and Cory danced the night away with family and friends before making their grand sparkler exit. Congrats to the Mr. & Mrs. Abeling! The bride’s favorite wedding vendor, “Our photographer Sarah!!! I knew Sarah from college and always loved her, but in the months leading up to our wedding we were texting ALL the time. She also did our engagement pictures and because she was there with us throughout the process she knew exactly how we wanted our day to go. She went above & beyond for us, even when there were complications with other vendors due to Covid.”
