A Few Rustic Touches Go a Long Way in this Elegant Texas Wedding

Jordan and Austin made their love official in an elegant Texas wedding with a few rustic touches that steal our hearts! Their enchanting affair was held at The Laurel, nestled on over 6 acres of land alongside Cottonwood Creek so your guests will feel a world away from the city while enjoying the venue’s outdoor green space. The venue provided catering as well, which was a huge relief for the wedding party, and delicious too! A soft neutral color palette leaves the space looking airy and chic while natural trailing greenery and string lighting bring a more rustic, romantic feel. Jordan looks like a bridal dream with classically glam makeup and an elegant low updo styled by the artists at Tease to Please Hair and Makeup that perfectly coordinates with her modern, simplistic gown. When it came time to slice the cake, all were overjoyed to spy the treat Butterfly Cakery created – a colossal four-tiered naked cake adorned with fresh florals that added a delicate touch to the day while LeForce Entertainment played all the jams so that Jordan, Austin, and crew could tear up the dance floor! As the pair were riding away in their getaway car, they both agreed that “Wow, I wish we could relive that over and over, I’ve never had so much fun in my life.” Thankfully they can with the help of their vendors, since every memory from the night was all preserved in their gallery and wedding highlight below, captured by Lorena Burns Photography and Films. Read on for a note from the bride about their elegant Texas wedding day and the changes they made due to COVID-19, plus why she says she wouldn’t change a thing. Cheers to the Goerkes!

From the bride: “Our wedding day was originally supposed to be a destination in Crested Butte, Colorado. Due to COVID, we switched the location to the Dallas area, and we are so glad we did. Our plan B turned out even better than plan A would have. We had the absolute best vendors in the business, and the day went off without a hitch. I truly can’t think of one thing that went wrong, it was such a stress-free and amazing day.”
