Natalie and Matthew’s vintage romance inspired wedding in the heart of Dallas takes us back to a classic time. Uniquely versatile DFW wedding venue The Empire Room was the perfect setting for their dreamy day. Cheers to Natalie and Matthew!

Natalie and Matthew met at The Alcove wine bar in Uptown Dallas. The pair had a friend whose intention wasn’t to set them up, but they quickly hit it off. Many of their date nights were spent at The Alcove as the space was within walking distance of their homes. The bar holds such a special place in their hearts that years later they asked the owner to officiate their wedding! Matthew planned a romantic proposal while the couple vacationed in Tokyo. His initial proposal site – an exclusive, eight-seat sushi restaurant – fell through after they discovered their reservation was set for one week later. After getting some much-needed rest that night, Matthew couldn’t wait any longer and asked Natalie to marry him while they were waking up the following morning. Elated, the pair celebrated with Japanese convenience store champagne and spent the rest of their trip smitten with one another.
