Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across North Texas, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.
For the last month of summer, we’re showcasing a springtime wedding full of dusty pinks, desert hues and gold details. Anastasia and Ethan’s romantic wedding took place on May 4, 2024.
How the Couple Met
Anastasia and Ethan first met on Hinge, where they casually chatted for a couple days before Anastasia decided she needed a break from dating. “It was in the fall of 2020, so it had obviously been a tough year and dating was the last thing I needed to be stressing out over,” writes the bride. “So, basically, I ghosted him.”
Despite her sudden absence, Ethan was persistent. He found Anastasia’s Instagram from her Hinge profile and messaged her. She responded, albeit a bit reluctantly at first. When Ethan asked his future bride on a date, he had no idea that she had sworn off dating until 2021.
“When Ethan asked me out in November of 2020, I told him that he was going to have to wait until 2021 to take me out on a date,” Anastasia writes. “He probably thought to himself, ‘This girl is crazy,’ but he said ‘Okay, I’ll wait.’” The two spoke every single day until January 1, 2021 when they finally went out on their first date. The couple has been inseparable ever since!
The Wedding Day
Anastasia and Ethan’s dream day took place at the gorgeous D’Vine Grace Vineyard. After getting ready, the couple shared an intimate first look before heading to their outdoor ceremony. Despite the cloudy weather, the ceremony looked fabulous, complete with white chairs, greenery and classic pink and white florals.
“Our venue, D’Vine Grace Vineyards, had this gorgeous staircase leading down onto the courtyard. All of our bridal party walked down it to enter the ceremony,” writes the bride. “There was just something about walking down a staircase in a beautiful dress — with an instrumental version of ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift playing — that can really make you feel like a princess.”
After saying “I do,” guests made their way to cocktail hour and the reception. The space was decked out in stunning decor from POSH Couture Rentals and Perch Decor. Along with a delicious meal, guests also enjoyed sips from Nightowl Coffee to keep them energized for the dance floor. Royal Dukes Band brought the party, making for an unforgettable night!
“I think any of our guests could have told you though that my favorite part of the night was the reception,” writes Anastasia. “Our band, the Royal Dukes, absolutely killed it. It was so much fun, and I don’t think I stopped dancing until it was time to shut it down!”
Anastasia & Ethan’s Favorite Detail
“Our friendship bracelets as the seating chart might have been my favorite detail. I am a big Swiftie and my wedding planner, Katie, knew it. So when we were brainstorming ideas for how to make the seating chart personalized to me, she suggested the bracelets. We had a little under 200 guests and Katie made them all. Every single one! They were a huge hit!”
