Photography:

Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across North Texas, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.

For July, we’re showcasing a classic yet elegant french-inspired celebration. White florals with pops of pink and yellow accents make this wedding timeless and romantic. Keep scrolling to discover Sabine and Raymond’s October 8, 2023 nuptials!

How the Couple Met

Sabine hadn’t expected to meet her future husband when she organized a farewell brunch for her best friend back in 2019. But fate had other plans when Raymond walked into the party—they instantly connected, and he even invited her to a Keith Sweat concert before the day was through. “Attending concerts became one of our favorite pastimes,” Sabine recalls. “And you can often catch us slow-dancing in our living room.”

Fast forward to July 2022, when a work trip for Raymond in Charleston turned into a pivotal moment. While strolling along Rainbow Row, a friendly stranger offered to take their photo. Little did Sabine know, it was all part of Raymond’s plan. He surprised her with a proposal right then and there.

The Wedding Day

Sabine and Raymond’s dream of a wedding at a French-inspired all-white estate came true at The Hillside Estate in Crossroads, Texas. Their special day unfolded as an elegant Parisian-inspired celebration for 130 guests on October 8, 2023. “I really wanted something elegant that had a taste of the South of France,” Sabine explains. They exchanged vows during a chapel ceremony and savored an outdoor dinner reception, beautifully captured by The Lockharts, with behind-the-scenes moments captured by Always a Bride Events.

The First Look

Raymond initially wanted to wait until the ceremony to see Sabine for the first time that day. However, Sabine and her photographer managed to persuade him to have a classic first look. “I didn’t want to rush through photos and detract from the time we could spend with our guests,” Sabine explains. Ultimately, the first look set a perfect tone for the day and allowed them a private, intimate moment. “It felt like we were kids again, giggling on the playground,” she recalls fondly.

Sabine wore a beautiful lace long-sleeve gown from Pronovias, a tribute to her mother. “I’ve always admired my mother, so recreating her wedding day look made me feel like a part of her was with me on a day I’ll never forget.”

Ceremony & Reception

The couple exchanged vows in the indoor chapel at the estate, with the son of their late pastor officiating the ceremony. Sabine carried a relaxed, garden-style bouquet filled with roses, peonies, dahlias, tulips, ranunculus, lisianthus, sweet pea, and majolica. Tied with a satin cuff adorned with a photo of Sabine’s mom. The chapel was adorned with a lavish ceremony arch and the aisle lined with vibrant floral arrangements.

The two hosted dinner in the estate’s courtyard under twinkling lights, with tables adorned in subtle patterned linens from BBJ La Tavola and elegant china from Posh Couture Rentals, all perfectly complementing the Parisian-inspired vision for the day. They also enjoyed a delicious meal crafted by Vestals Catering displayed on an oval menu with the couple’s custom monogram.

The day brimmed with intimate moments, heartfelt dedications to loved ones, and personal touches that beautifully reflected their unique love story and the harmonious blending of two lives.

Sabine & Raymond’s Favorite Moment

Ray, I’ll never forget the way you looked at me. But should I ever, I’m comforted knowing it was captured by our talented photography and videography team, The Lockharts. With a gift for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, Luis and Michelle never missed a moment. That we’ll cherish forever. We’re grateful for their artistry in preserving our love story on film!” – the bride during their first look
