Mackenzie and Dan met at the University of Arkansas and right from the beginning, sports played a big role in their love story. Although it took three attempts to schedule a date, Mackenzie accepted the Arkansas offensive lineman’s invitation to spend time together one-on-one. They haven’t looked back!
Dan took Mackenzie by surprise and proposed at the same spot as their first date at the Razorback Stadium. He took her to the top of the stadium overlooking the field and the beautiful Fayetteville landscape, and got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. The proposal made Saturday football games in the stadium even more special.
The couple’s wedding was a dream come true and incorporated their personalities perfectly. Mackenzie enjoyed working with Something Pretty Floral and the Fort Worth Zoo; both teams of vendors worked hard to achieve exactly what the bride wanted. From the surprise gospel choir who walked Mackenzie and her father down the aisle to the Razorback-themed donut wall, the event was uniquely them. The couple said, “I do,” at the Fort Worth Zoo, so guests were able to walk through the park and see the animals upon arriving to the venue.
